What each is
IV ketamine is given as an intravenous infusion in a private treatment room. It is used off-label for certain mental-health and pain concerns. Fully guided sessions are available. Dosing is individualized.
Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray for treatment-resistant depression (and certain severe depression cases). It must be given in a REMS-certified clinic under observation. Rewired Ketamine in Aventura is REMS-certified. It is different from IV ketamine.
Who it is for
Both are considered after a consult at our Aventura office. IV ketamine is discussed for people who have not found enough relief with usual approaches and who are appropriate candidates after screening. Spravato is considered for treatment-resistant depression when REMS criteria are met. The consult decides which, if either, fits. We do not claim one is better than the other.
Insurance reality
IV ketamine is usually cash-pay. Some insurance plans cover Spravato when REMS criteria are met. Coverage is not guaranteed. We review options during the free consult for patients from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and South Florida.
What happens at the Aventura office
All sessions take place at 2820 NE 214th St Suite 1002, Aventura, FL 33180. You are in a private room with monitoring and staff present. You stay for recovery. A driver is required. Integration is the shorter step of applying what came up; it is not the same as ongoing therapy. Fully guided sessions are available.
